Yoga is an essential part of my life as well as my way of life.

I have found that engaging in yoga is an amazing way to practice radical self love, which benefits the whole world. When you journey deep within, focus on your breath, and listen to your body, you gain the ability to show up for others in a deeper way from spending time with and honoring yourself.

Student Testimonials

I’ve been doing yoga at home for awhile now from online videos. I had my first session with Jenny last week and all I can say is WOW what a difference! She is an amazing instructor and catered my session to my skill level and individual needs. Her session had great flow and pace. I was left drenched in sweat and loose as a goose with a big smile on my face. Thanks again, Jenny.

“Before starting yoga with Jenny, my body felt tight and a little uncoordinated. I knew stretching was important but I never devoted time to stretch and honor my body. I appreciate that during our sessions, Jenny is attentive to any areas that feel tight and need tending to, while also challenging me and taking into account any pain I am experiencing. Every time after our sessions I feel a deep sense of peace and gratitude for myself, my body, and my connection to Jenny. I appreciate Jenny’s knowledge of yoga, and how she takes me through a beginner pose and adds more challenging twists to feel the deepest stretch possible. I also extremely appreciate how she takes her time moving through each practice, giving me time to connect and allow the deepest stretch possible. Practicing yoga regularly has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my mind and body. Since practicing yoga weekly, I have noticed a positive difference during my every day life tasks as well as when I am working out. I feel so lucky to finally have met a teacher that makes me want to practice. Jenny is truly talented!”

“Doing yoga with Jenny has brought me back to my practice. I love that Jenny really takes into consideration how my body is feeling, is able to provide feedback to improve my poses, can break down how to do a pose when it’s a little tricky and do this all while teaching through a screen! I am so fortunate to look forward to yoga on a weekly basis with Jenny during these uncertain times. It’s something positive that keeps me going.”

“Jenny is such a joy to work with. She has been so great at customizing our private sessions to where my body is at and accommodating me when I need adjustments. I am so glad that I invested in myself to work with her, my body needed it and I feel so much better physically as a result.”

“Jenny is a great teacher! She makes yoga easy to follow for beginners and experts all around. She listens and cares about healing her students and clients in places they need most. She is very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable about opening up to any needs even if/ when you are a bit bashful.”

“Jenny has been a wonderful addition to the quarantine life. Since my gym has been closed, I've switched my practice to yoga and I am very grateful for it. Jenny always asks which parts if me need attention and accommodates the practice well. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise Jenny! I look forward to the next session.”

I was diagnosed with mild idiopathic scoliosis when I was 18 years old. Since my diagnosis I have been struggling to manage the pain and other symptoms of my condition, as there is no cure. I’m currently 25 now and I’ve been practicing yoga at an intermediate level for a few years. Every time I come to my mat I do so with the goal of improving my quality of life. Jenny does an amazing job focusing on my needs, while also considering my abilities.  She is incredibly knowledgeable yet humble, which creates a nonjudgmental environment where I can further my practice. Doing yoga with Jenny genuinely improves not only my physical health, but my mental and spiritual health as well. Her calming energy and encouraging spirit give me the motivation and I need to stay consistent with my practice and I look forward to our weekly sessions.

Jenny the Yogi

I took my first yoga class in 2015 as an elective course during my senior year at the University of the Arts, where I was studying musical theatre. I had an inkling that I would get into yoga at some point, and this was a perfect opportunity. I was lucky enough to have an amazing first teacher, Jonathan Raiss of Amrita Yoga in Fishtown, Philadelphia. He kept class fresh, interesting, and always with a sense of humor. He always catered the class to the needs of what were mostly dancers in the room, and caused us to think deeper about how we were thinking and moving. After graduating from college, I wanted to keep practicing in an affordable way. I began the Barter Program at Wake Up Yoga in Center City, where I cleaned the studio once a week in exchange for classes. This afforded me the opportunity to try out different styles of yoga (vinyasa, yin, restorative) with several different teachers. After almost two years of doing this, my husband said to me “I think you need to stop cleaning the floors; I think you need to start teaching.” This was just the wake up call I needed.

I completed my teacher training at Motherheart Yoga Sangha in Fishtown, Philadelphia under teachers Dawn Smelser and Albert Fung. The first half of training was called “Inner Journey,” where we delved deep into yoga philosophy and examined how we could relate it to our own lives. This program was deeply transformative for me and taught me not only to be a yoga teacher, but how to be a more connected, intentional person in all that I do. Dawn and Albert are truly special, heart centered teachers and humans and I am so grateful to have trained with and learned from them.

After moving to Jersey City, I landed my first professional yoga teaching job with Manhattan Exercise Company. Through them, I was sent to different luxury apartment buildings to teach their residents. This was a great first teaching job, and I became accustomed to working with students of varying levels. Since March 2020, I have been teaching group and private classes to family and friends over Zoom. I feel comfortable teaching in this format, and have truly enjoyed and appreciated getting to practice doing so with loved ones.
